Hey Guys, been a long time since I have posted. Been through a few 100 series builds, but this is my first electronics mod to a 200 series since my wife won't let me touch hers, I think she is even smarter than I realized.
I installed the VLINE unit for CarPlay, and while the video board was initially bad, Customer service hooked me up quickly so that went relatively smoothly. It was my understanding I would be able to go HDMI out from the VLINE and go to the RCA for rear entertainment. I should have probably guessed, but the VLINE hijacks the RCA inputs to project onto the screen so that input is no longer usable. Defeats the purpose of the rear entertainment for us because my kids have been rocking the same DVDs for 4 years in her car, they are played out.
This was I guess a long winded way to see if anyone has had luck with swapped out the 9" screen or at least I think it is, in the rear entertainment motorized unit with a better resolution screen, and utilizing HDMI out/bluetooth or anything else to any success. I didn't see anything in my search so far, and before I go hacking away, I figured I would ask. It would be easy enough to remove the unit, and put an aftermarket one in, but truthfully I really like the factory look and motorized unit and since I opted for the factory look in the front I'd like to keep it throughout.
Thanks for any help anyone may be, lift kit, wheels, go on this week, but when with these damn tires come off back order geez!
