How about a spring run in Uwharrie?

it was mentioned some would like a run to Carolina Beach as the weather is cooler, no bugs and no hurricanes in spring.....

if you want to head up an April run to Uwharrie when it reopens...I will put it on calendar. I wont go in April as it is turkey season but more than happy to list it. The calendar is just a proposal right now so pick a weekend and it is yours...I have Clayton down on the Gulches again since that did not happen this year. Let me know...

I forgot about Carolina Beach.

I don't know anything really about Gulches never had an interest in really going.I would like to take a pole and see who is interested. But in the middle of the summer most people complained last time about being busy and it being hot.
I think we should get together and hammer out a calendar and look at when peoples kids are out and all hunting and football seasons are.

I am also not against dues but I think if there are expenses we need to communicate them and share the expense.

I am going offline see y'all hopefully saturday.

This is the PROPOSED CALENDAR as stated in thread title...it is not yet final. I just ask that if you want to add a wheeling trip or activity you also be willing to follow through with it to ensure success and solid participation.

This PROPOSED CALENDAR is solely based on what we have done the past TWO YEARS and as discussed and APPROVED by those in attendance at the last club meeting in October at Andolini's in West Ashley on 20 October.

Any wheeling trips, meeting locations or other activities should be posted in this thread. In December I will close this thread and post the Official Calendar in its own for upcoming year.

any specific recommendations for an activity or for removal of activity already listed? Please submit in this thread or by PM, Date-activity-location-and whether you are willing to take the lead on it if not just a Meet-n-Greet.

Calendar will be posted as OFFICIAL by 15 December if no specific changes are requested with justification for change or addition to calendar included. Calendars are always flexible but have to start with something. Thanks for any additional input not already provided.

Thanks.

Looks pretty good to me, no complaints! I can't wait to see everyone, also I will no what I can and can't get to as my on call schedule hits for the 2013 calendar but No worries, i know there is no way to please everyone. I def want to go and do the carolina run and do a little camping and relaxing by the ocean. Also a Gultches run would be cool, although I am not ready yet, still gotta meet with this guy to build me some sliders, but hopefully will have those sometime in the next few months. ready to get up to him on a weekend when I don't have a clemson game. Anyways I like the dates and none of them fall on my birthday but close enough that we can have it as an unofficial party for me!

Ditto. I'm game as well for as much of the festivities as I can partake in.

okay have not received any recommendations for alternative events or changes of venue for those already scheduled after all the fuss. It goes final on 15 Dec but if not a peep over next week then will close it out and post early.

I would suggest moving the Urharrie trip in dec maybe to before thanksgiving since after thanksgiving everyone is so busy in december. But I know we have other considerations.

Logans Run and the Wintery Mix are the two that are not negotiable. We do both with ONSC...I have not missed a December run in nearly 6 years....this is my first time missing it. Many enjoy it as it is one of last before Uwharrie closes for winter...it also has low temperatures for easier sleeping and no bugs, snakes or other worries.

sorry but like I mentioned earlier in this thread...those two runs are non-negotiable especially when I am the only one that has attended them all as long as they have happened. LOL

I'd say the Winter Mix is the perfect time, the weather was perfect!

ih8mud on the go!

now to teach you how to use the IH8MUD app so you can take pictures on your smart phone and post them IMMEDIATELY to the threads...hahaha

yeah, no bugs, no snakes, not crowded, great sleeping weather for tents, great for sitting around a fire....and great bunch of people. It is my FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR to be up there...bar none.
