Hi All, we have a Jan 2012 Sahara with a standard head unit as shown. We want to retain the camera/climate etc functionality, but have Android auto as well so we can mirror our smart devices and use them for Google Maps etc. Rather than upgrade the head unit, we would prefer to use an interface unit such as one sold by EC Offroad. Can anyone advise the pros and cons of these (and other supplier's products), and also any specific installation issues etc.
This is a photo of our current head unit, I believe it is a March 2012 upgrade one. The car is a Jan 2012 build.

Most all of them are the same Chinese units everyone else is selling. I’ve had a couple EC Off-road units ship straight from China.

I’ve not had stellar support with EC, but if you’re in Australia, they may be better. In my case, support unusually took over a week for responses and when they sent me the wrong unit for one of my trucks, I had to pay a 25% restocking fee and shipping when they had confirmed it was correct.
