This is a 2012 Lexus GX 460. I purchased this vehicle in November of 2016 from a Lexus dealership. The SUV was sold as certified pre-owned (L-certified). After driving the vehicle 500 miles it became clear that there was something wrong with the drivetrain. When I went back to the dealership the transmission plug was missing and all the fluid has leaked out leaving the transmission totaled. This was an error made by the dealership when they were changing fluids during the certification process. Lexus replaced the transmission with a brand new unit as well as the front differential, which was also damaged by the lack of fluid. This was completed at 67K miles, the entire repair cost over $8,000. The transmission and front diff have only 15K miles on them. I have all the paperwork showing that this work was done by a Lexus dealership.
The car is in excellent shape, has been garage kept since owning it. The carfax is completed clean—no accidents. The vehicle is waxed monthly. This GX 460 does not have the air suspension. It does have KDSS, full time 4-wheel drive, a high low transfer case, and a locking center diff. This vehicle has power third row seats, heat and cooled front seats, Bluetooth phone and audio, usb connection in the front console, power sunroof, weathertech floormats for the front and back seats, and many other features.
I am selling because I no longer need a vehicle of this size. I originally purchased this truck when I owned a boat, and no longer have the need to tow anything so I am downsizing.
