This should be a great event. We are a nonprofit club, so we aren't getting anything out of this other then the piece of mind that we are doing something for "The Cause". Everything we make off the Jambo and T-shirt sells go straight toward keeping our trails open.

I will be leading the Fissure Moutain trail in my FJ55. The only requirement on this trail are at least 33" tires and at least 1 locker. So even if you don't think you are built enough for the Hammers you can still have fun.

Hope to see you guys out there. Signups are here: TIN BENDERS

wish I lived closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Can we purchase shirts or hoodies.... without attending?

im game if you think a spooled 97 4runner sas can make it

It should be fine. What size tires are you running? Is it spooled on both ends?

Our requirements for that trail is at least one locked axle and at least 33" tires. These are just baselines so people don't show up in a 2010 Superduty on 40" BFG A/T's and expect to run Wreckingball. If you have lockers on both ends and 31" tires you would probably be better off then one locker and 33's. Ultimately it is up to your trail leader, so if you don't meet the requirements listed next to a trail here: TIN BENDERS, you can post up here: 2010 Tin Bender Jamboree, In Association With Poly Performance - TinBenders.org Forums and ask your trail leader. If you don't want to register on our board, you can post up in this thread and I will try and relay your question in a timely manner.

It looks like John Bundrant, owner of All-Pro Offroad will be leading the Fissure Mountain trail now. I still plan on running it as long as I get my FJ55 put back together in time, but John will be leading it. John has lead this trail before and is a very experienced trail leader. He has lead groups of FJCruisers through Fissure Mountain, Claw Hammer, and Aftershock. If anyone can get you through a trail at the Hammers it's John Bundrant and his crew.

wow i havent been back here in a few weeks but my rig is spooled in the rear only with 35's may have a lokrite in the front by then ???? let me know what you think.

You would be good on Fissure Mountain as is. If you get the front locker in and aren't afraid of possible body damage you could try Claw Hammer or Jack North. You will have fun on any of them. Claw Hammer was my first Hammers trail. I was in a SAS'd 89 X-Cab on 35s with lockrights front and rear. I ended up breaking a Birf halway up, swaped it out with a little help and got back on the trail. I've been hooked since.

Just a little tip, Flash(trail leader for Jack North) can change a Birf out in 15 minutes. So if you have a heavy foot bring spares and you might get a lesson.

Will be running claw, If you see my 40 stop by and say hi
