Looking at the fine print the OEM ones aren't sold separately anyway

Is there any reason these could not be removed, coated with RTV, and re-installed? Or maybe fixed in the vehicle by applying a thin bead of RTV at the interface between the tube and cylinder head?

I'd imagine it might be hard to remove them undamaged for repair as they are pounded in there in addition to the adhesive that was applied.

I thought about the latter possibility as well.

Same issue on 5.7 liter tundra :

I’ve seen videos removal of non threaded tubes like ours on YouTube and they do get destroyed on removal. The main issue is that they do not have threads on either end, and new ones are installed. Not sure why Toyota does not sell these.

I spent about 2 hours replacing my plugs today. Hardest one for me was the one closest to firewall on driver side. Lots of swivels, wobblers and extensions. They could have gone another 50k miles but vehicle in service years is now at around 11. I am a little over 80k miles.

No oil residue anywhere as well.

Lighting may not show it but plugs were all healthy with tan residue on electrode and gap was still in factory spec.

Yeah, that no. 8, driver's side does look like a bugger.
Wonder if there's a Lexus access tool for that or all the techs have to do the same fumbling around?
