It's not a 40, but definetly a Cruiser under the skin.

Nice words. Have to disagree 100%. the 40 was a white-knuckler balls to the wall fun truck. I had a '88, '94, '99, '08 and now this.
Kinda like drivin' a cadilac(sp)

Forgot to mention the 2 first generation 4WD toyota trucks I had whilst in the NAVY.......

You wanna a three year old tri-fold tonneau?

edit - it looks like you already got one.

Thanks for the offer. Phil will deliver the mat. Thanks.

The Tundra is based on the current 200 series Land Cruiser, that is all I mean.... obviously not a 40. :D

Interesting. The crewmax is definately the truck of choice for this family.

Also was wondering if the "blanks" on the dash can be upgraded as per the fj cruiser. I know the compass mirror can be. Not sure of the switch spots..

Some more advice - Buy seat covers. 30,000 miles and my driver's seat is split all down the seam. I know it's going to cost me a ton when I turn it in today.

There is no excuse for such crappy workmanship. Not even on a domestic. I will definitely not be buying another one.

I will have to check and see if that is "covered" . Otherwise I will be getting seat covers. I like cloth, but if they don't hold up....

I checked out a bit before I turned it in. The rear bumper is rusting again. No excuse for that. Even if they had a bad supplier, or a bad batch or whatever, it should have been fixed by the third or fourth bumper.

The paint on the rims was bubbling badly in a bunch of spots as well.

I guess I got used to Land Cruisers and expected too much.

Yeah I am thinking along your lines gumby. My landcruiser is a 95 and has less rust than my tundra. s*** my 71 chev has less rust than my tundra! I did just pick up a sweet little damage multiplier for it though. 50 bucks and it's flawless.

What year was your CM? And did the dealer hammer you when you turned it in?

07.

Not yet. Got the lube out though.

Hopefully they made the improvements in a 3 year span:hhmm:
I leased a Sienna once. Never again. Had to pay for tires, cleaning, and other crap...
