Per our meeting last night, we we going to try to set a date for our club hosted event this year. The month of September was popular.

Here are the weekends available:

9/3-5
9/10-12
9/17-19
9/24-26

Conflicts I've found so far include:

Big Dogs Main Jambo 9/10-12

The VA4WDA annual trail ride is sometime in September - not sure if a weekend was selected yet.

Yankee Toys have a Sept TBD Vermont Foliage Run Woodstock VT area, 2 days

So what have I missed for conflicts? Anybody got a favorite weekend?

Anyone?

Well Jester, all these dates are confusing me. I did not achieve this position in life by having some snot-nosed punk leave my cheese out in the wind. Why don't you make the call?

Watch it shipmate - they just suspended "don't ask - don't tell." :hmm:

Alright, now that you guys are paying attention to this thread, its time to get back on topic. Labor day works for me. Any objections?

Oh, BTW, Ed Rooney has not aged well.

I assume when you say "Club sponsored event" you mean Fall Crawl. If that's the case Labor Day is fine for me but I'm not sure it would work for a lot of other folks.

Being that it's considered the last big travel weekend before school resumes and of the summer I think we'd be competing with a lot of family plans and limit potential attendance. I think we were all surprised at the attendance growth from the previous year and as the event reputation apparently has progressed, conflict with a traditional family holiday may shoot us in the foot. My 2 cents... any other thoughts? :hmm:

I agree with bloo I know we will be at the river that weekend its the last big weekend of the summer lets keep it in october

We have to pick a weekend for the event at this months meeting. If we scratch Labor Day, we have these weekends left to consider:

September 11 (Big Dogs)

September 18

September 25 (RCrocs @ Rausch)

October 2

October 9

October 16 (RCrocs @ Rausch)

October 25 (ECORs in NC)

Personally, the first two weekends in October are bad for me, I might be traveling to/from Denver, but I'm just one person. How is 9/25 for everyone? Might be cool to see the RCrocs series, as long as the park is open.

Rob & Norm, if you are out there, please comment as I'm guessing you won't be at Marios on Wednesday.

We could do the 25th if the park does not mind, the FJ guys did their thing the same weekend as the race last year, we may want to check with them to see if they have anything planned. I will watch the race but it is only part of one day.

One downfall is that half the park is closed, the part that most of us like to wheel. I will be watching the race so it does not matter to me.

Norm said he is up for whenever.

Now now ladies dont get your panties in a bunch
