2010 4Runner Trail Edition Roof Rack

Anyone else run into this?

2010 4Runner Trail Edition... Had the factory roof rack and 2 crossbars.

I ordered new crossbars for a hundred bucks so I could double up and have 4 crossbars. Honestly, I like the factory rack and would rather save my accessory money for something more fun! The crossbars showed up and they do not come with the sliders that adjust and hold the crossbars in place.

I have looked online... I have used the Toyota instructions...

The only option it tells me for additional parts is a roof rack. That seems really odd. Anybody know a compatible roof rack slide or hardware for this?

I think we can fabricate something with bolts and washers to make it work... But it will not be pretty.

It seems as though the rails are sold as parts, whereas the crossbars are sold as an accessory.

Thanks... Those are the standard crossbars... The Trail Edition has a unique roof rack (as I have learned now from looking into this). It comes with rail accessories built in, but the crossbars are added. I wanted to go from 2 to 4... And It would appear that I need to buy a 600.00 roof rack to get these slider hardware parts. Ugh!!!!

Might be time to fabricate with some bolts and washers.

I think some guys were able to make Uni-Strut and fittings work. The bars are not all the same size
