Mu wife drove a used 08 landcruiser today. she said it was to much fluff and couldn't believe it was a landcruiser. what did they change on the 2008 model that makes them so much different from my 2000 lx470? did Toyota go to far with the redesign or is this just a 100 series with more plastic??

ok sorry. i just realized this is a 200 series cruiser. i guess i should have posted this in the 200 section but i still would like to know the difference from a 100 series owners point of view.

2008 was a complete redesign. And the big piece, 5.7 liter engine with 381 hp and 400 ft lbs of torque. 0 to 60 under 6.5 seconds. 6 speed auto.
Kdss and crawl control standard. Interior like the tundra up until 2013. 2013 the interior on the cruiser is more lx570 lexus like.

how well does all of the extra electric gadgets hold up in the mud and dirt?

One guy on here has 100,000 miles on his 2013 200 series... Only service was to change the brakes... I guess his is holding up just fine, sold my 100 with 275,000 worry free miles. Expect to keep the 200 for at least 300,000
