I had a look at this truck, including taking a short test drive. Walked away.

Overall, it is in what I would call mixed condition. The engine compartment was very clean as was the 3rd row and cargo area. The truck seems to have been dealer serviced since new. Underneath was clean/rust free as expected from a California truck. It goes downhill from there.

The paint had many nicks and scratches that looked like someone tried to touch them up quickly and didn't do a good job. The interior was equally rough. The rear passenger side door speaker cover was broken and the knobs were missing from the rear audio controls. The center console and controls were dirty/worn in unexpected ways. The wheels are 18" aftermarket of unknown origins and are VERY chrome (the spare was OEM). The VIN reveals some questions about OBD codes that I couldn't get a clear answer on (vehicle history from the Toyota owners side here).

For the right price, I might have been tempted. The truck drove as expected and is solid as one would expect. I can live with scratches and can fix the broken/missing bits. Unfortunately, the dealer wouldn't budge on their "fair market" pricing and didn't seem at all interested in addressing the issues above. It is currently listed at $37.5K.

HTH.

It's interesting to hear that @perrobravo because that's the same experience I've had with the 200s I've looked at it. I chronicled my experience here on one of them that was absolutely totally thrashed, and I've looked at one other one similar to it. I find it odd that so many 200s were simply beat on since new considering how expensive they are. It almost seems like the equivalent to what you would find in a soccer mom's minivan! Ironically it seems 100s are better taken care of proportionally than 200s (IMO of course).

I just had one traded into my dealership. blue with a ton of chrome. 09 with 75k or so. I would have considered it for purchase if it was a palatable color and I didn't have to source new wheels (has aftermarket 22in chrome). It was about as dirty as I would have expected. I work at a BMW store and see beat up 100k cars all day.
