I will be there for a day trip on Sat. Can't wait to play in the dirt again!

I'll be missing this one. Sister is getting married in Raleigh so I have a roadtrip that weekend... assuming there's gas. :meh:

Have fun!

No... It's not OK they lost .

I did tell my sister she owes me though. Who get's married in the fall during football season, and on the weekend of the annual event? Crazy I tell you!

She's from ACC country so they just don't get it.

Truly thoughtless of her! :whoops:, I can only make it Friday night as I have had plans for months for that weekend as well. :bang:

I had a great time and was enormously happy my schedule worked out the way it did, I was happy to see so many faces I had never seen before!! Great job guys!

Others will need to post the pictures as I didn't have mine this weekend.

I'll do a brief writeup tonight.

The 2008 Ga Cruiser's Annual outing was a huge success, we had about 45 people and 20 rigs make the adventure.

Friday night saw several of us sitting by the fire roughing it for the extended weekend. We all successfully ditched Silvain's dinner at Applebees in favor of a grilled hamburger and campfire chatter, it was a good choice. Our campfire saw about 10 of us telling bad jokes and even worse stories, irreplaceable! Josh and I finally put to rest idle threats by capping the evening with a post-midnight wheeling run, it was great fun! :bounce:

Saturday morning came a little too early for some but after the recovery we all geared up for a good day. Members and their families starting streaming in by mid morning and kept coming all day. By 10:30 we had already made one run starting at the base of Colby Creek and ending back at the Rock garden. This kind of how it went all day with several trips with various passengers and other rigs coming and going at all times. I had the privilege of meeting Jim D.'s son and newly inducted daughter-in-law Ashley, both were great and Ashley made for a much better looking co-pilot than most of you other suckers! :flipoff2: She didn't even say anything when I tried to plow down a tree with my front bumper, though I blamed it on her!

The crowd all came together by the time the raffle was started and dinner was served. As usual John Schmitt cleaned up in the raffle, he won amongst other things a Hi-lift Jack and of course the grand Prize: a Lincoln welder. Patrick did his usual good job avoiding my numbers altogether, however I did win a pity prize when he threw me a flashlight. :flipoff2:

After BBQ dinner we all settled around the fire pit to watch the caveman tv and banter about the day's events. By 8:30 the crowd had thinned to about 20 which made for good campfire conversation. By the wee early morning hours we had run out of  so it was time to call it a night and head to our tents.

Sunday morning saw an early departure. After a couple hours of cleaning and packing we made for our trucks and swore to do it again soon. It can't be soon enough.

Thanks everyone that worked hard on this and donated prizes, it could not have happened without your efforts! As always these events are priceless.

Congratulations guys for another job well done!! Looking forward to our next big event.

Great write up Ted. Thanks. You left out the part about being hung-over and spilling coffee all over my camping stuff.

Did anyone get any good pics?

Sid

There are just some details that should be left to those who attended. Sorry for the coffee, I'll make sure its full next time. :flipoff2:

Are there any pics? Surely someone took a few. How about Olga - she was busy taking pictures. Thanks much everyone for your help. We had a great event, and everyone enjoyed the time together.
