I have a 2007 FJ all stock. I just picked it up from the body shop my daughter rear ended someone. I got home and my daughter said the silver bumper corners are not installed correctly. I looked at them and I agree something is not right. I have been searching the internet for a close up picture showing the silver corner going into the black plastic and cannot get one clear enough by the time I enlarge just the bumper corner. I need it to show the body shop something is not right and have them fix it. It almost looks like there should be a thin piece of black rubber around the silver corner where it meets the black plastic. I checked the Toyota parts sight and it does not show any trim. It looks almost like they should have installed the corners by pushing them out from the inside of the bumper cover and they tried to install from the outside in which left the edge of the silver corner showing where it meets the black. Any picture to help prove my point to the body shop would be great.

Here's the best one I could find. I have a Expo1 on the front of mine, so I can't just run out and grab a pic for ya. Sorry

Thanks for trying, I really need one right where the silver and black meet.

The silver wings just clip in from the outside. There is a bunch of tabs on the wing that you line up with the holes on the bumper. I am wondering if they just got them reversed, maybe put the left one on the right side and the right one on the left.

I took it back to the body shop they are marked Left and right also the angles will not let one side fit the other. The body shop said these are the original silver corners they replaced the black plastic bumper only and it is a Toyota factory replacement. They are going to fill in the corners on the silver corners so there is no gap and then paint them. It still does not make sense to me why when they are clipped in there would be a small gap and you can see the edge of the silver corner. If I remember correctly they originally look as though they were coming out of the black plastic with no gaps or edges showing. If anyone can shed any more light on the issue it would be helpful.
