2006 LX Sat/Aux iphone input??

I apologize in advance if this has been covered, but I couldn't seem to find the answer to my particular question. Can I hardwire my iPhone/iPad into the Aux/Sat setup? Need power to charge and also be able to play sound through the system when I hit the sat button as I don't have sat radio. I don't need bluetooth for audio music as I prefer hardwire anyways!! Anyone who has done this or can answer my specific question would be much appreciated!!

Thanks for that but seems like it's more complicated than I was hoping for. In a perfect world I would want a cable that plugs into where the satellite radio wire is supposed to be, it's a shot in the dark but anyone else?

What he posted is the closest you are going to get, as there is no way to plug your iPhone/iPad directly into your radio without any type of adapter hardware. I have a VAIS in my '07 and I am quite happy with it. There are a few different companies that make this type of thing, but all of them have an adapter box that plugs into your head unit with the iPod/Pad/Phone plugging into the box.
