My key fob cracked this weekend. So I went to the dealer who told me a new key would be $225 as I had a special "L" key. Where can I buy these keys? I am sure at a fraction of the dealer price? Also, could Lowes or Home Depot cut the key? I am sure the programming sequence is on here somewhere. I cannot justify $450 for 2 keys.

I think thats the price with a new transmitter.

From what youre saying you should only need the housing, which they should also have.

Thank you, I will have to check on this. In any case, I still need to get another key as one of my sons lost a key. So any information on getting a new key other than the dealer would be helpful.

I am not sure what you are composing:
if you need a shell you can get on the e-bay for $5, cut the key and swap the fab. (DO NOT cut the key with a fob in remove fob first as a MUST!)
but if you need the new key with the fob again get from the e-bay usual they come with a programming instruction , if not drop me a line I will send you the steps to program I did for my.

I just replaced both of my broken keys for a grand total of $14..... Including the cutting of the new blanks.
