So unfortunately for me I have a passenger side cam seal leak. I noticed a leak in that area almost two years ago. I had just performed a timing belt change and during that maintenance I saw no evidence of a leak. Anyway the leak is definitely coming from the front of the engine just under the VVTI cam assy. I had recently changed the valve cover gaskets thinking that somehow it could possibly be the issue. No luck. So I'm looking for a Toyota shop or dealership in the area that has done this work before. Because its a later VVTi motor my understanding is that the head needs to be removed etc.

Cruiser outfitters?

I think Bruce Belliston is into them, maybe? He's my favorite at Mark Miller.

I've been to State several times (over 4k worth of work) and they seem competent, but not good enough for me.
When you give them a list they don't do it all. They don't put bolts back where they got them from, they don't re-secure lines (such as power steering, AC, or vent lines) back in the retaining clips. Left my interior mess with oil and grime once, used green coolant when I specified Toyota red, on and on. It drives me nuts that they miss the details. They usually have at least a half dozen cruisers on the premises but the lack of detail is infuriating.
