2006 100--Strange stereo issue

My 06 is having a weird issue...occasionally the volume on the stereo will slowly, over 10-15 secs, go from normal to in-audible. OR, on a cold start, will give no sound at all. Doesn't matter which input either, no volume anywhere.

The rest of the multi-nav functions all work great while this is happening. Only the stereo is affected.

Any thoughts?

Could your amplifier be going bad? Your amp is located under the passenger seat. There are kits out there to bypass the factory amplifier for the installation of aftermarket. JL makes a 5 channel amp that fits like OEM under the passenger seat.
