So I am usually in the 60 forum, but picked up a really nice 2005 with only 61K miles on it. Anyway, got a P0456 code that sets off all kinds of light and ends up showing likely gas cap. I ordered a new one but before it came I found a youtube of a guy with the same problem that was not solved by a new gas cap. Seems his had developed some deposits around the rim of the gas cap and it was not letting the cap seal. I checked mine and sure enough it was very rough. I stuffed a rag in the tube and sanded the rim. Didnt take a pic of before but it was black and very rough to the touch, looking similar to what you see below further down in to the tube. After sanding it I put the same gas cap on and started it and all the lights were off. Didnt even have to drive it around to let it cycle. Check yours and if it is not smooth it will probably only be a matter of time before it will not hold a seal.
