Got to either get serious or something. I have been looking for a FJ62, and expanded that search to a FZJ80 too.

This is a feeler for sale of my 2005 Nissan Frontier king cab pickup. 4wd with Nismo offroad package, loaded. Under 44k miles (and counting). I have owned it since new in late 2005. Clean title in hand, we own it free and clear. You can contact me at jeffro109 AT yahoo DOT com.

Truck is in excellent condition with 2 paint dings. Excellent value on the blue book plus addons and work taking into account the paint items, I am asking $18,750. Located in East TN, near Johnson City. Selling to get something with more people space and interior room, but still with great 4wd ability.

Standard stuff:
silver metallic paint, 4wd, ABS, front and side airbags, traction control (with the ABS system), hill ascent and decent control, rear e-locker, auto transmission, v-6 4.0 liter engine, nismo offroad package, factory skidplates, power mirrors locks windows, sliding rear window, cruise control, 6 cd (can play mp3 cds too) player with steering wheel controls, factory spray in bed liner, util-a-track tie downs in the bed. Tow package, wiring, trans cooler, hitch in place, it can tow up to 6300 pounds. Tires are Firestone destination A/Ts with about 8000 miles on them--great tires.

It can get up to 19-20mpg on the highway full time with speeds around 65-70mph and not crossing the rockies, 14 or so mpg around town, 16mpg mixed driving.

all maintenance up to date, mainly done by me, all fluids changed except brake fluid and power steering fluid (brakes have ~50% of pads left still so I am waiting on that). No rust on frame (there is some dirt in the photos but no rust). Uses no fluids at all, no leaks, no drips. I have not washed the engine for the photos or in many months actually.

Addons:
-KMA winch bumper
-Shrockworks sliders with herculiner on them
-rubber front floormats
-window vent shade things
-full length arched extra leaf added to rear springs, timbren bump stops in front suspension
-fully sound deadened
-grounding kit for engine trans transfer case etc, extra main power and ground wiring (sort of like a big 3 kit)
-reusable dry air filter
-all driveline fluids amsoil full synthetic, engine oil is mobil1 full synthetic
-small locking toolbox in the bed with rhino lining or some kind of bedliner.

Bads:
-front bumper needs to be painted it is just spray painted now
-ding in front of the rear bumper on driver's side (I painted it but it could look better with a real body shop going at it)
-bed has some marks and whatnot (I use it as a truck but don't abuse it)
-some scuff marks on the interior plastics like the glove box (not sure if those could buff out or not, never tried)

Lots of photos of the truck at:

Would trade for a very well maintained FZJ80 or FJ62 plus cash. See my other topic for full details. If I find a cruiser before the truck sales, then it is a cash sale only.

Stuff I forgot last night--

It still has 2 years and/or ~30,000miles of extended warranty left, I need to dig out the paperwork but I am thinking it may transfer.

For maintenance, I have always changed oil between 3-4k miles (usually I do 100 hours of engine time as the basis or pick a good free time before I hit that mark) since the trip meter logs running engine time on one of its counters. Diffs have been drained and filled twice (first time around 15k miles), transmission flushed using its own power once, tcase drained and filled once, engine coolant changed at the dealership once (all of these were done within the last ~year, so plenty of time left on the fluids).

After the transmission and engine coolant changes, I bypassed the transmission line into the radiator as some people out there on the forums state radiator/transmission leaks. Now my transmission line goes straight to the external cooler, there were no radiator leaks when I did the bypass, purely PM also new transmission fluid and antifreeze are supposed to prevent the problem too.

Oh yeah, complete factory service manual on CD-ROM in a PDF file. It is linked so you can click on chapters and other links when a service step refers to somewhere else in the manual, no scrolling down every page. Full maintenance history logged in a word file (engineers, what can you do).

Also included will be some OEM oil filters, some crush washers for oil changes, washers for diffs or transmission fill plugs, any other maintenance stuff I find in the garage like fluids, etc.

Soooo, not so much action. Is the price too high? Is the lack of Toyota a problem? Is blue book not a good place to start these days and maybe think of getting under half the $$ for addons back?

I am open to reasonable offers, but no lowballs please, it will be a waste of our time.

I would take trade on a smaller utility trailer (5x8 or 10 ft) or maybe addons for the 80 such as rear bumper, sliders, ARB compressor. I would also take the winch off the pickup for further price reduction.

Looks like I am about 99.9% locked in a deal for a well maintained 1996 FZJ80, so I would like to sell the truck to bring the savings account back to life. I have also listed it locally on craigslist, that could be interesting.

The lack of interest is probably from a combination of factors. The price is a bit high considering where the automotive market is today. Don't expect to recover much money from the mods, I've found that to be the case from experience. Also, it isn't that it's not a Toyota, it's that's it's a Nissan on a Toyota 4x4 specific site. You're just not going to get that many, if any, people looking at this ad that will even be in the market for what you have.

My advice would be to find Nissan specific sites and post there. I'm sure there is at least one Nissan 4x4 site out there. Also, try posting on Pirate 4x4. That is more of a diversified audience.

Best of luck with the sale.

Thanks, yeah, I have it on nissanforums.com too, although there are others too. Did not think of pirate, I tend to not be over there much unless it is from a google search, but I might try. Thinking of autotrader.com or cars.com too.

On the mods, yeah, I am only asking maybe a third of the costs and nothing for all of the time involved.

It is OBO, within reason.

Good luck with the sale. I think it is the price, I have a decently outfitted fully loaded Titan with less miles and the Nissan extended warranty that I won't get anywhere close to 19k for. This is just a bad time in the market for everything. Look at the guys on this site that have some sick deals on their cruisers and still have a hard time selling them. Great time to be a buyer, as a seller, we are just s.o.l.

Might as well come up to the top for some fresh air.

Ran the carfax over the weekend if anyone is interested in that, I have a PDF copy. It is very boring, and has the last entry at 1690 miles. I am really surprised that some other stuff from the dealership (coolant flush, gas cap plastic dongle replacement recall...yes they really did replace the little thing) did not show up, not so convinced that carfax is the greatest thing ever.

Winch is now off the truck, air compressor, accessory wiring switches and relays removed as well.

Bumper, sliders and toolbox still on truck.

Price drop to $18,250 OBO.

Unfortunately in this economy very few people have 18+ grand laying around and money is difficult to borrow even with good credit. It,s just a lousy time to be selling..........1978HJ45

That is true to a point, everyone is experiencing something different. I need to put the truck on autotrader or something like that to get exposure beyond the forum audience I feel, I just have not gotten to it yet.

I have a basic duplicate of this post on that very forum, thanks for the suggestion though!

It has gotten a few hits over there, but no takers (obviously).

The point I was trying to make is perhaps more evident on Ebay.
There are Cruisers on Ebay ( many of which have undergone frame off restorations ) that don,t even receive a serious bid. In the past (good economy) these vehicles would most likely have been involved in a bidding war. Good luck...........1978HJ45
