Congratulations on your 05 purchase. These vehicles are primarily motivated via torque, and all the 470s have close to the same amount. The 5 speed makes more use of the torque and is quite an improvement over the 4 spd. The VVTi in 06 is a nice touch. I have driven a number of 05/06/07s at a dealer and like the responsiveness compared to my 01. However, they have not given a better ride, many times my 01 has been better; so I have not made the trade up. Good care and maintenance are very important, and its sounds like you have made the better choice accordingly. Congratulations.
