So the boots have been on the vehicle for a month and a half and maybe 1500 miles. They were replaced and repacked by the dealership that I purchased from. This weekend I was out doing some relatively mild wheeling for a stock '04 LC. It was all dirt trails up in Gorman, CA and I will say that we did a lot of articulating and off camber stuff but I never had a wheel off of the ground. So, got home today, cleaned the LC, and as I'm cleaning the wheels I notice a good amount of yellow grease sprayed toward the back of the fender well on the driver's side. Cleaned everything up, took off the wheel, cleaned some more and noticed that the boot looks great. Could this be a clamp issue? The clamps are yellow-gold. Driving around some more this evening revealed some more leakage around that outside clamp, closest to wheel.

Easy repair, hard repair, expensive at a shop, what do you all think?

Thanks in advance

Easy repair. The dealer would have used the factory crimp clamps that come with the OEM reboot kit. That is the problem, sometimes they hold well, and sometimes they fail quick, but they always fail at some point.

Cut off the factory clamps (hardest part, will take some time), and replace with high quality stainless worm drive. Search the forums, a member here was selling them and might still be. I got mine from here and they have worked flawlessly.
