Hi all,
My buddy has a 2004 tundra, 2wd that he wants to put a little more tire under than stock, because he feels it looks too wimpy.
right now he is running the factory 20" alloy wheels with 295/45/20 tire.

there doesnt appear to be too much room left in the wheel well, so i suggested a leveling kit up front so he could go to the next size up.

what do you suggest for just the minimal amount of lift to get to the next tire size up?
this is a daily driver truck only.

was looking at the procomp poly coil spacer.

seemed pretty reasonable. would prefer metal spacers, but doesn't want to go up to three inches, which is all that we could find in metal.

Thanks in advance

ok, so a little searching and we found a set of 2" skyjacker coil spacers that are all metal construction.

does anyone know what size tire will fit on there with those 2" spacers installed? we were thinking like a 285/50/20, which comes out to 31.2"

is anyone running a similar combination?
thanks

actually, its now looking like the bilstein 5100 series ride height adjustable shock is a much better solution for about the same price.

X2, you get a new strut plus the lift, I'm running them, very happy.

Pretty sure 2004 Tundras did not come with 20s stock though.

battle wagon,
what size wheel and tire are you running with this setup?
my buddy has decided to get them, now he needs to pick a tire.
He wants the biggest tire without having to trim anything.

...as far as rims, his are twenties, dont know if they are factory, but they look it at least.

thanks
bryan

There is a ton of info on Tundra Solutions, I put 5100's on my Sequoia and have been very happy with them.

I run a 15" 60 Series LC wheel with a 1.5" spacer mounted with 33x10.5 BFG ATs.

15 don't usually fit, but he should be able to run the equivalent to a 32 or 33" tire maybe with a little trim to his bumper. Sorry I don't know metric 20" sizes, I run them on the 4th notch with a dif drop but since his is 2wd he can run them on the 5th if he chooses to get 3" of lift. Just make sure he gets an alignment afterwards or he will destroy his tires.

thanks for the info.
much appreciated.
