2003 Rear Seat DVD mirror Front?

I have a 2003 with factory nav -- front seat dvd works great going to do the bypass today.

What I can't figure out is if it is possible to mirror the front display on the back ceiling monitor. Am I missing something obvious? I tried all the input modes on the rear player and no dice. The front player has a "rear off" button on the screen when I push the display button but it's greened out.

Any insights?

On my '04 with factory RES, there is no direct connection either way between the front and rear DVD screens/audio. Does your '03 have the factory radio controls on the rear of the center console for the rear seat? That's what the "Rear Off" button does on my '04.

Okay, thanks. Wasn't sure what was possible since it didn't come with any manuals. Bummer because the DVD drive in the RES is shot.
