I have owned this GX for just over a year, less than 5,000 miles, during that time frame I have done a significant amount of mechanical updates and repairs. Here is a list of repairs/updates. Major work done by My Mechanic, Anthony's Planet Pick-up, and Cornerstone Auto (shops located in San Antonio, Tx. ) GX470 runs and drives great with cold A/C.
- (4) BFG AT 255/75/r17 ( with GX 460 Wheels, also have factory GX 470 wheels/Tires) (Discount Tire Installed)
- Spidertrax Wheel Spacers
- Eibach Pro Lift (Airbag delete on rear.) Adjustable Coil Overs on the front. (Anthony's Planet Pickup) (#E86-59-005-01-20 and E30-59-005-01-02)
- Front Headlight Housing Replacement (both sides.)
- Timing Belt Water pump
- Starter (Internal Starter)
- Brakes (Pads and Rotors)
- Fluid Changes (Oil/Transmission/4x4 Serviced)
- AC System (New Fan, Parts, Inside Blower Motor) Front and Rear blow cold.
- New Battery
- Numerous Hoses/Gaskets etc...
Known Issues;
- Sunroof (Internal cable broken, fuse pulled)
- Steering Wheel (needs to be re-wrapped)
- CD Player Not working (My next step was to install a head unit with backup camera etc...)
- Seats show wear
