Can anyone help? I am suffering from sticking vains in my turbo and so the car is throwing an engne managment light every so often.

I have found a company that is more than happy to service my turbo and replace and parts but i need to get the turbo to them.

Has anyone removed their turbo and if so how hard a job is it and what consumables do i need to put it back with.

Many thanks

Warren

I haven't taken a Turbo off a Hundy, but I have removed a turbo or two off other trucks. Should be pretty simple, remove the intake, boost and extaust piping, remove the pressure and return oil lines, and then the turbo off the exhaust manifold. Depending on how cramped the engine bay is, you may have to remove the exhaust manifold to get the turbo out. And that adds to the ass-pain having to remove tons of other components to gew to what you want.

Anything you take off, I'd repace any gaskets, and have replacement nuts, bolts, washers, and/or studs handy for everything you have off in case anything that is old, corroded or you strip/break anything on removal. Anti sieze for the exhaust manifold bolts too.
