I'm looking at a 2002 LC with 146000. Has an unknown lift and newer XD wheels and tires. Recent timing belt and water pump along with tune up. It's white and no rust from the pictures. What do you guys think?

I'm disappointed. The paint was peeling off all over the driver side. It has an OME lift and drove nicely. Interior was good too. I can't justify buying a vehicle that needs to be painted. Would be an awesome trail rig though. Still not worth what he wants. The search continues!

Hey guys, great to see this conversation!

I'm looking at a 2002 LC that is the same color mix but all stock. It has 118k and previous owner added some tvs to the headrests and visor. Nice BFG ATs and clean as can be. I can see timing belt was done at 87k and it drives perfectly... first cruiser I've driven, and hooked! Catch is the guy wants 14k OTD from a small dealer in SC. Kelly says it books for 12,500... do I hold strong or drink the punch?

Any feedback appreciated!

While KBB can be useful, these trucks are somewhat of an exception in terms of pricing. While most pricing services do account for location/regional, I do think a Sunbelt LC to be worth far more than the differences I have seen for ones from say Michigan.

In addition, things like dealer servicing or well documented DIY/Indy repair history certainly means a great deal. FWIW, $14k for a sub 100k 2002 is not a bad price at all provided it originated in the South.

Daddyyo - FWIW as a local comp, I just bought a Grey 2000 in Greenville for $7500 with 238K miles, good cosmetics and timing belt recently done. Deficiencies were very light frame rust, needed tires, shocks and valve cover gaskets. I use as a third vehicle so the miles were not a big deal to me. Good luck with your hunt.

Thanks guys! I'm in Greenville too. The dealer is in Anderson and seems honest enough. No rust but one speaker and antenna to replace.
Did you buy from Stewart at Motorade? Good guy over there and knows his trucks. I've been shopping for months, so hope it pays off. I'll be sure to share a thread if I build it up in time. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas

If it has been there a while it is priced too high. A little used car lot here in St. Louis has a 2000, 162k, two really worn mismatched tires, surface rust showing on rear lift gate and roof line, and no TB/WP replacement, but good leather and interior priced at $10,980. They have had it for probably 6 months. After coming up to $10k with no lower on their part I got the these are hard to find lecture. It's been over a month and they still have it at the same asking price. Some will rally sit on these.

I picked up an 'O2 with 135k, no TB/WP, but good interior, new tires, and no body rust for $10,500. I knowingly had to put in $400 to replace the exhaust to pass safety. I didn't knock it out of the park, but maybe a double. I'm happy.

I got the same lecture. He started asking 15.9k and it's been there a while. Dropped the ad price to 14,900 and I got him down to 14 on a first wiggle. To me, the truck may be worth 14 but i'll need to convince my bank of the same notion. If anyone wants to see pics, posted at:

Thanks for the pro-support

BTW he is asking 12k. I intend to offer less.

Shaggy, I saw a 2000 green LC on cars . Com for $6500 in Fredericksburg. Not sure how close that is to you. Pics looked ok for 170k. Lift already on it... never seen it in person, but at that price, hard to be picky. good luck with the search!
