2002 Tundra transmission flush

Ok probably missing it, but I’ve searched this forum, tundra solutions and others and am still confused.

Planning to convert over to Amsoil ATF and thought I’d go ahead and drop the pan to replace screen and seals while at it. So how much fluid is this gonna take? I know the manual is wrong at 2.1 qts, but some say 4 and others say 13 qts. What is the discrepancy?

Just want to have the right amount before draining. Thanks!

If you are full Flushing I would get at least 15qts. Dry fill is 13qts. Pan holds the 2.1. Drop the pan and clean it up, replace the pan, fill the pan back up through the dipstick, find the return line off the cooler and drop that into a bucket. Start it up and keep adding fluid until it comes out clean. Close the system back up and check your level, adjust as necessary
