Been looking at upgrading the 80 series for a 100. Went to look at a 2000 LC with 160k, 2 owner and walked away after looking at it for only two minutes. I pulled the oil cap and saw the dreaded milky oil in the cap, and not just a little. I pulled the dip stick, and no real oil registering, but what was there looked a little frosty. I am familiar wit the 80 having HG issues! but is this common with 100 series.

Thanks

Head gasket failure not common on 100s. If that's what was causing milky oil, it was likely overheated, severely, at some point.
