2001 LC - aftermarket stereo seeking bluetooth hands free

I've got a 2001 Land Cruiser with no nav. So I've read some different things.

The 2001 has an external amp?

Can I just swap the OEM headunit out for a single din alpine/jvc/pioneer whatever and be good to go?

I want to be able to make bluetooth handsfree phonecalls and stream music from my phone to the car.
