2001 Land Cruiser help please

Hi

My 2001 Cruiser is throwing P0135, P1126, P0141 P0161 P0155 codes. It starts and drives only in limp mode (I have to floor the gas pedal so it can move)

I had a local shop change the throttle body with one out of a LX470 but it didn't make the problem go away.

Any hints as to what to do next?

does the engine rev up when NOT in gear?

Yes. It revs up when not in gear.

You may want to get ahold of a FSM. I prefer a hardcopy for my specific year, but you could probably get by with something like this: Factory Service Manual ( FSM)


A condensed version:

P0135 - Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0141 - Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0155 - Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 1
P0161 - Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 2

Measure the voltage of the HTR, HTR2, HTL, & HTL2 of the ECM connector and body ground.

If the voltage is between 9-14V replace the ECM.

If the voltage is NG

Check the resistance of the heated oxygen sensor heater
If the resistance is NG replace the heated oxygen sensor
If the resistance is Good check and repair harness or connector between EFI main relay and heated oxygen sensor, and heated oxygen sensor and ECM
