HUH ? Oh..... CT
I need to put a snowplow on my 4Runner for use in a dire emergency, otherwise it stays in the garage when it snows.

I need to mount Fisher push plates and Fisher tech gave me a part number for a Tacoma.

I want to be sure the frame is the same before I order.
Thanks

I think the frame is a few inches longer than the tacomas. Someone who truly knows should chime in though.

Actually I am only concerned about the front end. I am hoping the frames are the same in the front, as Fisher makes a sub frame for the Tacoma. I think they are, I am looking for reassurance.

I dont know if it will fit, either. But, you may be able to crossreference part numbers from aftermarket bumpers and see if they're interchangable. I know years ago a local guy put a forerunner front cap on his 2wd Tacoma lowrider.

I know a 4 runner arb fits a tacoma. It is narrower in width but the frame mounting points are the same.

The plow push plates will fit.

I got a diagram from the Fisher website. It uses the tow hook mounting holes and a clamp over the frame behind it. It will be interesting to see how strong this is when done.

Thanks guys !

FWIW, I have a plow on my 3rd gen 4runner. I built the entire thing myself to make it as light as possible because the 4runner isn't a real heavy plow vehicle. (I've since re-built and re-desgned the A-frame assembly to make it heavier as I pretty much destroyed it the first winter. Now it works great.) Anyway I put a front receiver mount on by using the two tow hook mounts up front and then I welded in two 1/2" plate brackets back in the corner between the IFS bracket and the frame rail. They are roughly 3.5" by 3.5". They were pre-drilled. My front mount then extends back and bolts into the two additional plate brackets.

It's very strong this way. There are tabs/brackets that are part of the receiver mount on the outside that attach to the plow A-frame.

Yep. The Fisher push plates use the tow hook mounting holes as well. The plate extends back to the vertical part of the frame and there is a plate welded to the bottom of the push plate and a dilled piece of steel on the top to clamp it.

If this was to be used for heavy plowing I would beef it up more but at this point it seems pretty strong. I have two other plow trucks and am not anticipating using the 4Runner but it is there.

Looks just like any other truck with a Fisher sub frame mount.

Next project will be to wire the lights.

I worded that wrong. The front section is a few inches longer.
