We just got back from a trip to Winnipeg to see the USA Women's World Cup match. Even though my rig is now 16 years old and has 184,000 miles, it ran perfectly, and didn't burn any oil at all. I did have a check engine light after putting in some Canadian gas, not sure if that was coincidental or not. My scanner showed that an O2 sensor was bad, but I cleared the code, and the light did not come back on during the 1000 mile trip home.

The LC took some abuse waiting to cross into Canada. It took 3 hours waiting in line to make it to customs! A lot of US citizens decided to make his trip. I was worried about possible overheating idling that long, but the temp gauge never moved.

I have owned this thing for 12.5 years now, and it has never let me down. Without a doubt, this has been an amazing rig!

Yes I did a taillight swap back in 2010 after being rear ended. I unfortunately do not remember what brand they are. But I do know that they are LED lights. I probably bought them on EBay. They have served me well for 5 years now. I really like the way they look.

You also might notice that I had the bumpers and side trim color matched black, and that I replaced the gold emblems with chrome/silver instead. I feel that it makes my rig look a bit more modern that way.

Here is a pic of my original tail lights after being rear ended. As you can see from the bottom pic, the other lady in the VW did not fare so well.

Always nice to put another good trip in the books for the 100. :) Your O2 sensor is probably getting borderline ready to kaput. Mine usually would trip on 87 octane but stay clear on 93 for awhile before they would finally called it quits.

That 3hr line is crazy! That was all forgotten when you were there and got to see a win I'm sure. :) We are headed into Canada in July/Aug but it will be a backwoods outpost out of Maine. Should prove to be a unique experience.

Good article on the US Womens Team HERE.

Ooh those look like the LED tails that came OEM on the 06-07 LX 470! Was wondering how they would look on my Black LC and I like the look. My LC also has blacked out bumpers and black pearl badges, but dark gray side mouldings.

Sounds like you got a good rig there - how's the underside holding up over the years in the salt belt?

The underside has some rust, but not too bad. The rust came from spending its first 3 years of life in the Kansas City area. Here in Springfield, MO cars generally do not rust much, as we don't get a ton of snow here.

Nice, but that's about 1,999 miles to far to watch soccer, let alone women's soccer.

Spoken like someone that's never followed the US to play as an underdog in a 3rd world country. You'd really enjoy seeing the US men's(or women) play in places like Mexico, Haiti, Europe, etc. I watched the US play Mexico in a stadium where Mexican fans had 90% of the stadium and saw the US play in Europe when I felt I needed police protection just to put on the uniform(Uk).

Any guy off the street can buy the extra jersey and be fan #89,421 cheering for the home team, but it takes a warrior to follow your team where the fans are outnumbered about 9:1.
