Newb here...

Hoping someone can help me out. I was changing the gear selector plate on my '00 LX (bubbles) and as part of the fix I had to cut the Overdrive wire and put back together.

Now, I am unable to actuate the O/D off. Physically connecting/unconnecting the OD wire at the point of the splice also has no effect.

Is there a fuse for that thing or something?

Also, I noticed the "D" light on the dash isn't working. Unfortunately, I don't drive the LX (wife does) so I'm not sure if the bulb was burned out prior to my work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks, yeah, I figured the D light was unrelated. Just something I happened to notice at the same time.

Any ideas on the OD off issue? This one is bugging me as I know the OD off had been working. The light does not come on any more when starting the car and all the idiot lights are on for a second.

As I mentioned, connecting the wire together (to complete the circuit) has no effect. Stupidly, I did not check for power to the OD wire before I put everything back together. Checked all fuses - could not find any that were out.

Could I have somehow jacked up my OD solenoid while doing this? Seems most people have the opposite problem (will not go into 4th gear).

Thanks anyone in advance...

Did you ever get an answer to this. I am having exact same problem. Switched out the gear selector plate, cut the O/D wired and soldered back together. Reassembled everything, light comes on but O/D does not engage.
