Bad day for my truck this morning...2000 LX470, about 175k miles
Sitting at a light, started off from the light..heard a loud noise, the car lurched and came to a stop.
Was able to restart the engine, gently touched the accelerator and it made a very unhealthy whining noise - no movement of the vehicle.
Vehicle has been towed to the dealership and am awaiting their verdict. Looking to see if anyone has any theories that I can compare to what the dealer tells me when they call.
Other notes - its about due for a timing belt change. If the timing belt would/could it still be possible to start the engine?
Car failed to start first time twice in the last four days, hasn't done that since I had the starter replaced two years ago. Don't know if there is any connection?
