Hi All,
I posted this on the FB site, but wanted to drop it in here too as I can't stand the Facebook user interface and some things come across better on a bulletin board than a social media app. Asking 6k firm. Would consider partial trades for a T100, early Tundra access cab, Tacoma, or Nissan frontier. 4x4 with manual transmission only. I'm only selling since we just bought a 200 series LX for the Mrs., and even though I will need another car for my teenager early next year, we do not need three 8 passenger SUVs for the 5 of us....hence the willingness to trade for a truck. We are in Virgina beach, but the LX is titled and registered in Idaho--it still had several years left on the registration when I retired from active duty, and I keep meaning to move back to Idaho, so I never swapped it to Virginia. Clean title in my name and in hand.
LX 470
2000 model year
255,600 miles
Good:
Recent Timing belt/water pump at 215,000 miles
Sequoia alternator mod--Alternator is a junkyard pull, works great, no idea of lifespan
Slee AHC override switch (no longer available for purchase)
ARB sahara winch bumper
Slee step sliders
Good condition driver seat
New rear bumper
New rear hitch
Sunroof functions flawlessly
Recent brake booster motor
Lots of maintenance records
Fj-55 spare tire winch
ATRAC functions well
AHC works very well, new globes in 2018
Lightforce 170s
HID projector headlights
LED fog lights
LED interior lights throughout
New battery 2024
Bad:
Broken winch--due to my daughter running into the back of a cargo van a few years ago. The winch works, but the casing is broken--not repairable.
Broken headlight surrounds--same incident. I haven't bothered to repair it as you don't really notice it.
Broken marker light mounts--Same incident

Right front turn signal--bulb is burnt out, ARB housing will likely break on R&R
P/S headlight is finicky--Works fine sometimes, not at all others. I suspect the ignitor, but it tends work fine when I have the time to troubleshoot it.
Exhaust manifolds--ticking on cold start, will eventually need replacements or headers installed.
Muffler--I banged it on rocks at Uwharrie and Rausch creek. It is torn up a bit. Functional for now...
Vibration above 45 mph—likely tire related. While in the shop for two months after a fender bender, the two rear tires were down to under 10 PSI, and the shop drove the truck at least 20 miles at highway speeds at those pressures. Drove smooth before going into the shop
CV boots 2 of 4 CV boots ripped
Poor condition front passenger seat
Needs tires--one duratrac has a ripped sidewall, the rest are marginal at best. The spare is good
Needs master cylinder rebuilt—honking goose noise when cold or sitting for a few days. If driven daily, it isn't an issue, but needs to be done eventually
CD changer is inop—comes with a Bluetooth adapter that works well and the radio functions fine.
Radiator has a crack at the seam on the top tank, has been to Uwharrie 3 times towing a trailer and Charlotte twice, with no overheating. I’ve been meaning to replace it, but haven’t gotten around to it.
Ugly:
GA truck until 2009, PA truck till 2020
Some rust on the rear crossmember and frame rails(see pics)
Some surface rust on the sliders
Recently rear ended--hence new bumper and hitch. No significant damage
A few small wheeling dings
Pics coming shortly
