So I've posted about this a few times (believe you me, I'm more tired of it than you!), and have gotten the CPS replaced a couple times in the last 3 years.

Anyone have ANY idea why the CPS would go bad so frequently?

This morning my truck wouldn't start.
It had sat for a little over a month while I was traveling for work, and fired up perfectly fine Friday night when I got home, and several times Saturday while running errands etc. and exhibited no symptoms of anything being wrong.

But this morning, it just wouldn't start.

Not until I walked to a Consumer Auto Parts and bought a U-Scan (this thing is awesome), and saw the code P0335 (*did NOT clear it*), and just for the hell of it, tried cranking again... Lo and behold, it roared to life...

I changed *nothing*, and it just worked like nothing had been wrong - scanned again, and the code had disappeared.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Kinda sounds like something mine has done a few times. Mine will turn over but not fire up like 5times per year or so. Never checked for codes, but I have it narrowed down to the antitheft/CPU connection. For some reason, it decides that my key isn't authorized or something. Quick mud fix for me is to pop the hood and remove the 20amp efi fuse in the fuse box, then either reinstall the old one or install a new one. I moved on to reinstall the old one cuz they all have ohmd out fine and those little buggers are expensive. Still haven't found a permanent solution but there's all I know about it
