Hi, I am the original owner of a 2000 4Runner. It now has 106K miles and is still going pretty strong.

Recently the factory radio quit working. I checked EBAY last night and noticed that someone was selling a radio from a 2007 4Runner. I'd like to keep things looking pretty stock.

I'm pretty sure that the 2007 will fit in my 2000. Not so sure about whether or not the connectors are the same.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

proboboly not, because the JBL system they come with. might look for a scion radio. they fit right in, minus the 4runner amp, and plug in. they can also be had with ipod connections and an in dash changer.

Assuming it isn't the upgraded JBL system it "should" be the same wiring. I have heard that the later (03+) radios are slightly wider so you have to trim your surround a little.

Might want to ask the question HERE
