Thanks for posting this! This weekend’s project is putting that exact tank in my 2013.

Nice! The size/range of the fuel tank on the 200 series with gasoline engines was a big miss by Toyota (no doubt trying to just design once for diesel and copy/paste for gasoline engines in markets like the US). This seems to fit the bill - extended range and keeping the spare tire beneath.

Do you have any 'after' photos showing how the spare tire fits/looks back in the space?

I don't. If I remember correctly this truck had a tire carrier on the rear bumper.

If I understand the question correctly, the reinstalled spare with the 12.5 looks the same as stock from underneath.
