$20 projects? Let's see whatcha got....

Well, I'm in the midst of refinishing my center caps, and with the purchase of sand paper, primer, and paint I came in just under the $20 mark.

I thought it would be interesting to hear about some other $20 projects that one could kill some time with. I often find myself board at 1am unable to sleep with nothing to do(aside from studying, and who wants to do that?), which seems like the perfect time to tinker with something, but I can't ever seem to come up with anything to tinker on.

Man I wish I could sleep, got two major tests tomorrow.

Lets see:
-$10, 50watt halogen back up lights
-$20, Phillips zenon (no blue filter just the gas) 65watt germany made high beams
-$10, pulled the rear bumper step and polished it up with some metal polish, painted the rear crossmemeber/center bumper T90 black. The paint has metalic flake so at night it matches the gray color of the plastic side pices but during the day it's black.
-$15, 1" front spacers
-$10, repainted the center caps....custom to match 40th gray tone.
-$18, AC Delco rapid fire plugs
-$1, for wood clothes pins to scrape off my crappy wood trim

All my projects are "I originally thought it would cost $20...."

Was gonna do some rock lights on my 80 but I never got around to it. Cheap $20 pair of lights at autozone.

Chrome polish and 3 step Meguire's system, 1 pack of q-tips= Really amazing results on the badly oxided 60 I just bought.....

So far I've spent 13 hours cleaning, am so sore I can barely move, but interior is clean and I've gotten all rust off of the wheels, one fender and one door are shiny....starting to look like a different truck....
(Before after pics will be unreal......Now where is the aspirin!)

$6.00 worth of grey canvas, grey vinyl and a few hours to pull the driver's seat cover off to sew in a patch. I stuffed some extra foam in to reshape the seat. Anyone with a '91-92 FJ is probably in need of the same repair.
