Just back from a month in oz. Spent 2 weeks in the western goldfields of western oz.

Went with my old diesel nissan patrol and a mate's 105 diesel.

2 week trip to the Kalgoorlie Goldfield area

~1400km, so about 900 miles. About 450 miles paved (first & last days) and the rest on dirt roads and tracks (remaining 12 days). We normally go further into the bush, but this trip had no particular destination or duration in mind when we headed off. We just wandered around and picked the next destination based on boredom of the current location
