I don't know anything about them so don't ask. Just wanted to give anyone in the area a heads up that there are two silver 60s for sale within 2 miles of each other on Coleman Blvd. here in Mt. Pleasant. One is sitting next to Luna Rosa and Mike's Bikes(looks lifted) and the other is next to Paige's Theives Market on the way out to Sullivan's island. If anyone out of the area finds the ads and wants me to take a gander, I can...but only if you're seriously interested. Little busy at the moment. PM me. I'm gonna be out of town this weekend so it won't be until next Monday.
Just FYI. :flipoff2:

Ive checked them both out. The one by Mike's bikes is nice. No rust. $6000 with 215,000. The other has a major oil leak.

Based on the information above, I went and looked at the one in front of Mike's Bikes. The gentleman who owns it informed me that he drove it from Cali (has only owned it for a short time) where it had no leaks to speak of. Upon arriving in Mount Pleasant he informed me that it has the following leaks:

Rear Transfer case
Lifter Galley Plate?? - left side of engine
Valve cover leak
Rear main leak

In addition, the windshield wiper fluid container has succumbed to cracking.

I took it for a test ride and the clutch seems to be in good working order and everything responds as expected. Having never owned a 60 but clearly wanting one, I am not sure if all of these items should be warning signs or do they come with the territory. Does anyone know a reputable mechanic in the Charleston area who could take a look. Any idea what these items may cost to fix?

Any info will be greatly appreciated...the body looks good, but the engine leaks quite a bit of oil. What is your take on this truck...should I go for it or keep looking?
