I am curious if anyone else has tried to replace the little shock absorber attached to the side of the engine? Mine is a 1983 diesel longbed rwd with the L engine. Looks like it has been discontinued as a part from Toyota. Maybe something from somewhere else will fit in that spot? Truck rattles pretty good at idle even though the engine seems to be running quite smoothly. I have attached a picture of mine as well as the parts diagram(it’s number is 12385 in the diagram).

I’ve always wondered what that was even for. It was on my 2L when I pulled it for my engine swap, but I never put it in, I assume it just reduces engine shake, but it’s not that bad.
