1hz turbo upgrade

I am looking at turbocharging my 1hz, what turbo would be the best option for a modest power increase.
Would it be worth buying an old ct26 and rebuilding it or just buy a brand new other brand turbo?

A second hand ct26 upgrade can be a cheap way to go, I built my initial setup for $1600 including boost and egt gauge but I got lucky and scored the whole setup, exhaust manifold turbo, crossover pipe and airbox for $900. It is an easy job to do even with basic mechanical knowledge, it's all bolt on stuff.

What you do depends on how much you can do yourself and your budget.

It gets expensive fast to be done right and keep things cool. Already went with the Gturbo on my 1HZ and it really woke up. That said though if I was to do it again I'd price out a 1HD-T swap instead as itd be about the same price with the offset of selling your engine. No matter the upgrades I do it'll still be an IDI and not a DI like the 1HD-T
