I'm far more interested in longevity than speed.x2.
Toyota engines seem to have a sweet spot of sorts between 2,000 rpm and 2,600 rpm, particularly six-cylinder ones. That range is also soft on fuel consumption.

For me high water temperature would be the limiting factor more so than high EGT's. On some of the longer inclines I would see water temps. approaching 210°.The Coquihalla is a notorious highway with several very long steep hills. within 30 miles you'll gain over 4000'. The speed limit is 75mph. This highway is one of many like it in western Canada and this one in particular has written off a number of Prados. I cruise around 60 mph keeping the rpms low but before turbo on this hill 60-70kph (mph?) was my max speed. Now if I did it I could manage 60 mph but without an intercooler I'd be watching my temps real close
My HJ61 did it no problem in 5th the whole way mind you
