Toyota part number should be 90916
03089 and 16346 66020 for the gasket right? They cross to napa parts 33569 And 33615 according to Napa but the thermo that comes in is too small. Where am I wrong?

The thermostat you have listed is for 195F and the stock one for a 1HDT or a 1HZ and is 172F.

The thermostat is on the inlet side of the cooling system and not the outlet side, and so the temps need to be lower than the 195F number.

We have a factory unit in stock if you need one.

Radd there are 5 other posts on mud about 1hz thermostat and all have the same toyota part number I'm using. Are you saying that's the wrong part number? If so what's the right one?

The interchange to Napa using the Toyota numbers is not the correct temperature.... I've been down this road already years ago. You need the correct temp for the engine to not overheat.

There is no Napa interchange that I have found that is 172F at this point, and the genuine unit is much better quality than that offered by Stant.

OK, thanks! Told him to just leave it out till he can get the right one. Wouldn't want to do that in the winter but this time of year it should be fine.
