I have a 2006 HZJ78 with the 1hz engine non turbo.
I was just wondering if anyone could confirm which injector and or denso nozzle type my model should have.
I have changed my injectors for maintenance and have noticed a power decrease, I purchased denso 093500-6890 injectors which I now understand may not for my model year.
I contacted my supplier and they said 093500-7250 would be correct, however didn't sound too confident themselves. I'm a little hesitant to jump in and order another $600 of injectors if they are not correct.
Just to spice things up. I pulled apart the injectors removed from my car and they had DNOPD20 nozzles in them. When i searched for these nozzles it came up with being used with the turbo variant. (mine is NA)
This has left me confused. I'm wondering if it has ever had the right injector nozzles in and would they have been changed? maybe for tuning reasons? interestingly the
opening pressures on the DNOPD20 are 145-155 and the standard nozzles are 150-160 surely meaning they would have had to make significant tuning changes also.
I found a PDF with injectors/nozzle for various Toyota models as reference.
I have spent hours trying to get to the bottom of this but no luck I seem to just keep going around in circles.
