1HDFTE - Limp Mode

2002 Land Cruiser 100:

Check engine light comes on then truck goes into limp mode. Very very low RPM on all gears. Happended already 6x this past 2 months. Remedy is to turn engine off for a minute or two then after restart everything is normal.

Had is scanned in Toyota and this was the error code that came out.


And ideas what to check? Pictures where they are located would be great!

Your code = Accelerator Pedal Closed Position Switch Malfunction.

Check the switch itself and the connectors. Could just be a bit sticky, or in need of adjustment. Otherwise could be a break in the circuit, or an issue with the ECU. My money would be on the moving part, the switch itself.
