Hello all, I was advised to post this question in the diesel section. My truck's stall speed is at 1400 rpm. I had the torque converter replaced (with the heavy duty version from Wholesale Automatics) but that didn't change much (except that the shifts are nicer/better now). I have the A442F with solenoids which means it is electro-hydraulic. What could cause the torque converter to stall at that low rpm? The result is that its not easy to climb a hill from standstill as the engine does not develop sufficient torque at 1400 rpm... Any suggestions or pointers on where to look are highly appreciated!
