1HD-FTE (HDJ101) CEL help (5 Viewers)

I have a 1998 HDJ101 w/ 1HD-FTE that is throwing a CEL as of recently. I tried to use an OBDII reader, but it wouldn't connect and I gather these use M-ODB, which is nowhere to be found.

I gather there is a way to jump certain pins and have the code flash on the dash, but I can't find any specific instructions on doing this in the service manual or online for this engine. Does anyone know how to do this and which pins to jump for this vehicle/engine?

I missed a post earlier. Apparently if you jump pin 4 & 13 in the DLC3 connector, the CEL will flash with the code.

It read out as 33, which was for the VSV intake shutter. I tested it per the diagnostic instructions in the FSM and everything checked out ok, it was opening/closing with power, air going the right places, grounding the ECU pin opened it, etc. Only thing I didn't do was check that the diaphragm worked under vacuum, I'll do that tomorrow.
