Hey! My 1HD had some serious issues yesterday. The truck started just fine (below freezing) but when I tried to drive it off it just wont rev past ~1200. Not even high enough to shift into 2nd gear. The first 5-10% of pedal travel gets a response from the motor, but after that there's just nothing.
I parked it and started pumping the primer button on the fuel filter housing. No matter how many times I pumped, it wouldn't firm up. I pulled off the fuel intake hose (full of diesel) and stuck my finger on the intake to the primer pump. There was some suction, but I was still able to keep pumping the primer without it firming up. Seems pretty definitive.
The issue is this is my only vehicle right now and it's going to be ~2 weeks before the replacement part gets in from Australia. Is there a hack to keep the truck running in the meantime? Or maybe some kind of "drop-in" Racor system? I'm open to suggestions!
